Where spending pays off
Put money where it removes real risk: phishing-resistant MFA, reliable backups you’ve tested, endpoint protection, and expert time to fix the issues that matter. These earn their cost.
Where you don’t have to
Plenty of protection is already built into the tools you pay for — cloud providers, identity platforms, and operating systems ship strong controls that often go unused. And well-supported open-source tools can cover gaps without another licence. Harden first, buy last.
